She is at Carlton Road, Snenton, Nottingham. Her father is listed as ‘Master Dyer Employing 82 Men & 3 boys’. Mary, her mother, and her siblings, George and Clara, are unlisted. There are two boarders: Sarah Tucker (b. 1797) is listed as ‘Tambourer’ and Elizabeth Tucker (b. 1827) is listed as ‘Milliner’. There is also a servant, Martha Smith (b. 1848). 

In 1871 –  

She is at 23 Bulwell Road, Basford. Mary is listed as ‘National School Mistress’. Her sister, Clara, is unlisted.

In 1881 – 

She is at 241 Maswfield Road, Basford, Nottingham. Mary is listed as ‘National School Teacher’. There is also a servant, Clara Swain (b. 1867).
