She is at 27 Kingswood Road, Prestwich. Her father is listed as ‘Clerk of Works Oversight of Buildings, Roads’. Her mother is unlisted. Amy and her sister, Elizabeth, are listed as ‘Elementary School Teacher’. Her sister, Ellen, is listed as ‘Bank Clerk Shorthand Typist’.

In 1939 – 

She is at School House, Crossways Street, Mary Lane, Hornchurch. Amy is listed as ‘Head Teacher’. There is a servant, Eileen Farrow (b. 1918).
