She is at 7 Carlton Road, Nottingham. Her father is listed as ‘Cork & Provision Shopkeeper’. Elizabeth, her mother and her siblings, Eliza and Lucy, are unlisted. Her siblings, Sarah and William, are ‘Assistants at the Shop’. Her brother, James, is listed as ‘Errand Boy’.  

In 1871 – 

She is at LDTC as a ‘Student’. 

In 1881 – 

She is at 28 Higher Eanam, Blackburn. She is listed as ‘Head Lodger’ and ‘Certificated School Mistress’. Julia Malkin (b. 1854) is listed as ‘Certificated School Mistress’. Selina Harris (b. 1860) is listed as ‘Assistant School Mistress’. Minnie Pain (b. 1864), Margaret William (b. 1865), Emma Baefley (b. 1866), Elizabeth Cockcroft (b. 1866) and Nora Bennett (b. 1866) are listed as ‘Pupil Teachers’. There is a servant, Margaret Mason (b. 1853).
