Her sister, Sarah, is listed as ‘General Servant’.

She is at LDTC as a ‘student’. 

In 1881 – 

She is at 8 Alderson Road, Sheffield. The head of the house is Sarah Turner (b 1824), an unlisted widow. Her daughter, Gertrude Turner (b. 1857), is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. Emma is listed as ‘Boarder’ and ‘Schoolmistress’. 

In 1891 – 

She is at Mayfield Street, Hull. She is listed as ‘widow’ and ‘Board School Teacher’. 

In 04/97 –

In 1901 – 

She is at 74 Peel Street, Hull. She is listed as ‘widow’ and ‘Certified Schoolmistress’. There is a servant, Mary A Cooper (b. 1858).
