In 1871 – 

She is at Greetwell Gate, Lincoln as a boarder. David Melbourn (b. 1824) (her future husband) is listed as ‘Seedsman’. Sarah Melbourn (b. 1814) is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. Henry Melbourn (b. 1868) and boarders; Augusta Daubney (b. 1859), Rose Chafor (b. 1858) and Mary E Hemsley (b. 1859) are unlisted. Mary and Jessie Cuthbert (b. 1858) are listed as ‘Pupil Teachers’. There is a servant, Emma Jamison (b. 1855).

In the Committee of Management Book Dec 1875 – 

It mentions she has been unwell, will be unable to take an examination and she was asked to leave. 

In 1881 – 

She is at 5 Winnowsty Terrace, Lincoln. Her husband is listed as ‘Seedsman’. Mary and her daughter, Kate, are unlisted.
