In 1871 – 

She is at Tenter Street, Kimberworth, Rotherham. Mary is listed as ‘Pupil Teacher’. Her father is listed as ‘House Carpenter’. Her mother and sisters, Ann and Ellen, are unlisted.

In 1881 –

She is at Upper Rushton Road, Calverley with Farsley, Bradford as a boarder, James Lawson Whittles (b. 1823) is listed as ‘Foreman Stuff Warehouse’. His wife, Elizabeth Whittles (b. 1822), is unlisted. His son, Charles Whittles (b. 1855), is listed as ‘Warehouseman’. His son, Arthur Whittles (b. 1863), is listed as ‘Railway Clerk’. Mary is married, a boarder and listed as ‘Teacher (School)’.  

In 1891 –

She is at Arundel Mount, Potter Newton, Leeds. Mary is listed as widow and ‘Mistress of Public Elementary School’. Her daughter, Mary, is unlisted. 

In 1911 – 

She is at White House, Yeadon, Yorkshire. Mary is listed as widow and ‘Formerly Teacher’. 

Nothing more definitive found but possibly died 1928, Leeds.
