In 1871 – 

She is at Portland Road, Nottingham. Her father is listed as ‘House Painter’. Ger mother and sister, Sarah, are unlisted. Amelia is listed as ‘Pupil Teacher’. Her cousin, Maria Walker (b. 1848), is listed as ‘Servant’. Her cousin, Charles Walker (b. 1850), is listed as ‘Engine Driver’. 

In 1881 – 

She is at The Schools, Whitwell. Amelia is listed as ‘Certificated Teacher’.

In 1891 – 

She is at Main Street, Whitwell, Worksop. Amelia and Ellen Needham (b. 1858) [LDTC 1877] are listed as ‘Certificated Teacher’. There is a servant, Alice Hind (b. 1878). 

In 04/98 – 

Address is Infant School, Whitwell, Chesterfield. 

In 1901 – 

She is at School House, Whitwell. Amelia is listed as ‘Schoolmistress Infants’. Her sister, Caroline, is listed as ‘Schoolmistress Girls’. There is a servant, Violet Webster (b. 1888). 

In 1911 –

She is at Manot House, Whitwell. Amelia and her sister, Caroline, are listed as ‘Head Teacher Public Elementary’. There is a servant, Gertrude Greaves (b. 1896).
