In 1881 – 

She is at 1 North Street, Sutton. Susanna Pinches and Ellen are listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. 

In 1891 – 

She is at Lawrence House Farm, Green End, Levens. Her husband is listed as ‘Farmer’. Ellen and her children (Elizabeth, Mary and James) are unlisted. There are two farm servants, John Lomas (b. 1872) and William Whitehead (b. 1828). There are two domestic servants, Jane Clarke (b. 1873) and Mabel Hawkin (b. 1877).

In 1901 –
