She is at School Cottage, Knipton, Grantham. Her father is listed as ‘Certificated Schoolmaster’. Her sister, Caroline, is listed as ‘Domestic Assistant’. Her siblings, Athur and Charles, are listed as ‘Pupil Teachers’. Jane, her mother, her siblings (Alfred, Laura, George, Rose, Eleanor and Harry) and boarders, John Eads (b. 1858) and Frederick Eads (b. 1860), are unlisted.

In 1881 – 

She is at Main Road, Harlaxton as a Lodger. Henry Seagrove (b. 1845) is listed as ‘Butler’. His wife, Sophia Seagrove (b. 1847), and children, Henry Seagrove (b. 1870) and Lizzie Seagrove (b. 1872), are unlisted. Jane is listed as Lodger and ‘Schoolmistress’.

She is at Shop, Mill Street, Middleton, Blything. Her mother-in-law, Honor Fisk (b. 1823), is listed as widow and ‘Shopkeeper’. Her husband is listed as ‘Bricklayer’. Jane and her children (Stanley, Olive and Leonard) are unlisted.
