She is at Bourn Road, Alford. Kate is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. Her niece, Jeannetta Allen (b. 1860), is listed as ‘Assistant Schoolmistress’. 

In 1891 – 

She is at Bourne Road, Alford. Kate and her niece, Jeanetta Allen (b. 1860), are listed as ‘Certificated School Mistress’. Her niece, Louisa Jane Jennings (b. 1874), is listed as ‘Milliners Apprentice’. There is a boarder, Harriett Bowley (b. 1877), listed as ‘Teacher Monitress’.
