She is at Walnut Street, Hulme, Chorlton. Her mother is an unlisted widow, now Elizabeth Charnock. Emma is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. Her sister, Annie, and cousin, Sarah Moore (b. 1859) and Emily Hough (b. 1868), are unlisted. Her aunt, Sarah Moore (b. 1834), is listed as ‘Housekeeper’. Her cousin, Julia Moore (b. 1857), is listed as ‘Pupil Teacher’. 

In 1881 – 

She is at 50 Stockton Street, Moss Side, Chorlton. Her mother is listed as ‘Housekeeper and Lodgings’. Her aunt, Ann Riley (b. 1835), is listed as ‘Housekeeper Lodgings’. Her sister, Annie, are listed as ‘Domestic Assistant and Household’. Emma is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. There are two lodgers, William Wolfenden (b. 1858) and Edward Ashworth (b. 1849), both listed as ‘Bank Clerk’.

In 1891 –

She is at Stockton Street, Moss Side, Chorlton. Emma is listed as ‘Elementary Schoolmistress’. Her mother is listed as ‘Housekeeper’. Her sister, Annie, is listed as ‘Drapers Assistant’. There is a boarder, John Clayton (b. 1867), listed as ‘Clerk’. There is a servant, Bertha L Cookson (b. 1875).  

In 04/96 – 

Address is 50 Stockton Street, Moss Side, West Manchester.

In 1901 – 

She is at 467 Stretford Road, Stretford. Her husband is listed as ‘Decorator’. Emma is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. Her stepdaughter, Sarah Maddocks (b. 1853), is unlisted. There is a boarder, Rowland Whitaker (b. 1877), listed as ‘Brewer’. 

In 1911 – 

She is at 165 Stamford Street, Old Trafford. Emma is listed as joint occupier and ‘Schoolmistress’. The other joint occupier, Annie Saunders (b. 1870), is listed as ‘Teacher’. There is a housekeeper, Alice Saunders (b. 1874). 

In 1921 – 

She is at 8 Hope Street, Blackpool. Her cousin, Sarah Ann Moore (b. 1858), and Emma are unlisted.
