In 1901 – 

She is at 21 Station Road, Southwold, Suffolk. Her father is listed as ‘N C Schoolmaster & Organist’. Her mother is listed as ‘Schoolmistress’. Winifred and her two brothers are listed as ‘Pupil Teachers’.

In 1911 –

She is at 2 Regent Street, Oxford as a boarder. Jospeh Edds Gribble (b. 1857), the head of the house, is listed as ‘College Servant’. His son, William Alfred John Gribble (b. 1886), is listed as ‘Secretary Private’. His wife, Ruth Emma Gribble (b. 1856), and also children, Alice Katherine (b. 1893) and Francis Hilary (b. 1898), are unlisted. Winifred is listed as ‘Teaching’.  

In 04/12 – 

Appointed Assistant Mistress in Wellington, New Zealand. Sailed on December 9th.

In 1914 – 

On New Zealand’s Electoral Roll she is listed as at ‘20 Fitzerbert Terrace, spinster’.

In 1915 – 

She is aboard a ship bound for Plymouth. She boarded at Sydney, Australia and is listed as ‘2nd Class’ and ‘Teacher’. 

In 1937 –

She is aboard the ‘Almeda Star’ leaving London on 30 January 1937 bound for Rio de Janierio. She is travelling 1st Class and with ‘No Occupation’.
